InVincia is a melodic heavy metal band formed in 2024 in Vaasa, Finland. Seamlessly blending thunderous guitar riffs with soaring, unforgettable melodies, the band strikes a powerful chord with fans of melodic power metal and classic heavy metal alike. Their sonic identity is deeply rooted in the greatness of legends like Helloween, DIO, Savatage, and Judas Priest.
The band was founded by lead guitarist Joel Karlsson, who brought his background as a classical guitarist into the realm of heavy music. He was soon joined by an exceptional lineup: powerhouse vocalist Kenneth Nylund (former singer of heavy metal outfit Tombstone), blazing guitarist Alex Södergård, bassist Oskar Packalén (who stepped in to succeed Jonas Öman), and hard-hitting drummer Mikael Ahlholm. Together, they share a fierce ambition: to craft high-quality heavy music and proudly carry on the legendary legacy of melodic heavy metal.
InVincia made a resounding statement with their debut EP, "The Enemy Within", released on June 6, 2025. Teamed up with the renowned PR agency Scream For Existence, and mixed and mastered by none other than Erik Mårtensson (frontman of Eclipse), the EP showcases a band ready for the global stage.
Critical Acclaim & Spotify Success
The metal community has already taken notice, with Chaoszine awarding the EP a 3.5/5 and noting that "it’s not hard to fall in love with their sound... it is full of interesting melodies, great riffs and overall solid heavy metal." Sweden’s premier metal authority, Sweden Rock Magazine, backed this up with a strong 7/10 review. Proving their immediate streaming appeal, all tracks from the EP went straight into Spotify's official and highly curated "Metallia Suomesta" playlist.
The Next Chapter: Signing with Escape Music
Taking their momentum to the global stage, InVincia has proudly signed a record deal with the legendary British label Escape Music (U.K.). Their highly anticipated debut album, "Echoes From The Past", featuring 12 tracks of premium melodic metal, is set for worldwide release in September 25, 2026.
